These pictures were taken when Mom, Dad and Dorthy King visited us in 1979. We rented our favorite A-frame on Emerald Isle; it was on the bay across the street from the beach side. The kids could play in the calm, shallow water of the bay while we watched from the deck of the A-frame, and we could cross the street when we wanted the surf action of the Atlantic. The pictures show Mom in our kitchen before the trip to the beach and then Mom and Dad on the beach in their shorts. The Dierkers showed up for part of the time and we toured the USS North Carolina while we were there.
