We took these photos at the VP Fair -- at least I think some of them were taken there and it was the occasion for the trip to St Louis. It was the summer that Nickolas, a French exchange student, was staying with us and it was the summer that Sven visited us for a few days.
The first three photos are group shots from the waterfront where the Fair was located. Grandma was part of the group -- she never could pass up an opportunity to go to the Fair.
There obviously was a side trip to the zoo, where we encountered an extra hungry giraffe, and another one to a playground where the seesaws got a workout.
Sven arrives in the next photo; apparently we connected up with him at Grandma’s house. I am not sure it was the same week as the Fair but all of us were in St Louis to meet him. After we gathered him up, we headed back to the waterfront for some more shots with the Arch in the background.
